An incredibly rare and wonderful Burghley World Championships 1974 plaque. 
These were given to the riders after completing the horse trials. Just 39 event riders from around the world took part, with only 9 of them being from the UK. 
Unsure of metal but possibly pewter.
Its in very good condition, a small nick in the metal under the R of Burghley, which having owned this piece for a while I have only just noticed, so its barely noticable. I actually think it may have occured when being made. 
Has a small wooden stand on the underside so it can stand up. 
The rider who recieved this plaque was someone who achieved a huge amount to ride round Burghley and be representing their country in a World Championships. I have never seen one like it. 
13 cm high, 11 cm wide.
